Fiberglass cafe seat

Im not worried about it.
This is my first time using fiberglass so shes not perfect but im pretty happy about how it came out. still need to be
sanded down skimmed sanded again and painted. I thought the hump might be too high but i like it.

Once you put padding on the seat, the hump won't look quite so high.

I would be more concerned about how far forward the front of the hump is. It looks like it might have you shoved forward a bit too far.
 
Well here it is. Not sure what color to go with on the combo. Definitely want to do some sort of stripes.

looks pretty good man.

Im working on a seat myself...and I had all the materials. Glued everything together for the mold like the DCC vid
The foam didnt stick and the base foam melted....
Used krylon multipurpose adhesive not the Loctite.
Back to the drawing board.


How did you mold that?

Well that same video is the one that inspired me too. Basicly the same way as the video but my foam blocks didnt stick good eather but it held together just enough. once i got the tape on it was all good. But this was my fist go around with ant kind of body work i come to the concloustion that im much better with mechanics. Here it is finished not sure if i love the stripes. Its raining or i would have done outside shots.
