Yes, I'm a FIFO and I'm an noob. Just started building my second bike, a 76 Kawasaki KZ400D. Decided to go the cafe route with it.
What I started with:

Looks just like that now but ripped apart. Just got my seat pan last weekend and I'm waiting on some carb diaphragms to complete the rebuild on those. I'm pretty close to acquiring all the stuff I need so it shouldn't be long. Just have to bribe someone to do some welding for me.

Here's my first build:

Yes, it's a Kikker and no I don't like little boys.

Been riding since I was a little one (almost 30 years) but these are my first attempts at building anything.
I've lurked for a bit and decided to join yet another forum. I'm a regular on Bobbertalk and my local VW forum.

Please don't yell at me when I ask dumb shit. K?

Welcome Dirt.
The kz400s make a nice base for a Cafe.
Like the first build you did.

What's a FIFO?

Lolz

Fucking Idiot From Ohio. Bit of sarcasm on my end. If you've ever driven here you'd know all about FIFO's.

This sounds suspiciously like something said by Michiganders not Ohioans.

Well, just about anybody from outside Ohio. I'm always ranting about FIFO drivers.

Did you know that cars sold in Ohio don't come with turn signals? True story.

Little tip for driving in Ohio: Unlike every where else on the planet, the left here is the slow lane. It's not for passing. If you need to pass, you'll have to do it on the right.

When traveling in other states you can always spot an Ohio driver because they'll be rockin' along in the left lane at 2mph above the speed limit.
