Finally have my ds7/ rd250 running

Goodell ds7

One life. Live it.
Thats right after working on this bike for an hour or two here and there maybe once a week for the last year I finally have it actually running. That's right running, both cylinders are firing and blowing some two stroke smoke. I forgot to mention this is my first project so I am teaching myself with the help of DTT and some YouTube vids how to rebuild and to work on my bike. After my winter rebuild in my basement cleaning everything up a few new parts a new wiring harness and some elbow grease I've finally done it! I ran out of time tonight and didn't want to scare the hell out of my neighbors too late with the buzz of a 70's smoker so I left the rest for next time. Really all I need to do before the maiden voyage is to adjust the idle a little bit as its a little bit low. I also need to adjust the clutch a schmidge. My question here is do I go thru NYS DMV for a pre titled vehicle for the first year or do my paperwork and try this Vermont DMV thing I've herd about. The only things holding me back from ny is my new flasher relay isn't working still and my brake light is always on. I've herd you can go thru Vermont and they mail you a plate and inspection sticker and then I can transfer to ny next year when I get all the kinks worked out. As always any advice is helpful and I can't wait to get out and get on her for a test ride.

Digital flasher relay? Or thermal? Brake light is probably just an adjustment ;)
