Okay I'm at the point where I've sprayed a few good coats of etching primer on the frame and the small bits . I used the Duplicolor etching primer and it did a great job.

Now I'm at the point where I need help on what type of paint to use. I know that I want a High Gloss Black for the frame and for the smaller parts. Will I need to use an acrilic , I'm unfamilar what's available in " Rattle Can World ".

I've seen other posts where people have painted, clear painted, painted then clear coat ( wet sanding inbetween coats). Does this sound like a good proceedure ?

I'm letting the primer cure for a week while I'm gone so my parts will be ready for me on Saturday.

Alright you master painters " Tell me your secret's " !!

Did you read this sticky at all? Some great info here.

Yep, I did read the rattle can bling. To me it seemed to pertain more to doing the finishing of doing a tank and seat . I guessmy big Q is should I be using acrylic, polymer based, or other type of paint for the job at hand. -P-

I have decided to use Rustoleum high performance enamel. I have sprayed some of the smaller parts like the engine mounts and they have turned out great. Everyone that I show them to thinks they are powder coated. It goes on real thick and dries real glossy without having to do any buffing. My bike is not finished so I cant tell you how it holds up over time but it looks like it is going to last. BTW I am using red not black but I would imagine it will have similar results.
