First build CB360, any help will be great!!!!!!!!

You need to brace those forks.
Your seat has turned out really REALLY NICE LOOKING.
by the way what in the heck is an "arvo" ?

Hahah, threadjacking is sweet with me :)
I'm building this bike for easy commuting, the odd motorway run but living in CHCH, NZ the roads are fucked from the earthquakes so theres no issue of going super fast and mental. I managed to get these for a pretty good price for here, would have loved Avon speedmasters or something like a K80, but will ride this as is, happy to take it easy...one day change it up?!

Now the fork brace, how vital is this? I figured I need one as the old guard served as one and now i have a bulkier front end. Without one will I create any damage or is it more that It will just be a sloppy, less rigidity? I was thinking of making one just like below.... tyre tube, or if thats no good then will look at folding up a steeel one etc?

Rubber band is not a fork brace.
I have no idea why that is on there?
Maybe it serves the letter of the law for a mudguard?
It serves no useful purpose
As for creating damage?
Depends if you have potholes and lumpy roads?
Bike will only get a bit scuffed up but you could end up messed up.
People fail to realise that running down a smooth road in a straight line, you don't generally need a fork brace
BUT, if tyre is out of balance, wheel is out of true, you have to make a sudden change of direction to avoid something or, when something goes wrong, the chances of falling down are a lot higher.
Remove rivets from original mudguard mount and and bolt it back on.
I guess I'll get stepdaughter to help me make a quick vid of the difference in fork movements with and without braces

Yeah I meant to do that but somehow lost my front guard through moving house to house etc..
Seems here in nz the local "Ebay" prices for cb 350 and 360 stuff is ^^^^ for what reason i dont know?
I have a friend that works at a steel laser cutters so I could try mock one up? I always figured I'd need one but
just wasn't sure how badly...
Thanks again!

I checked this morning, forks still twist a bit with stock fender brace, (maybe 1/2" left/right?)
That's with clip-on's, bad back and weak arm from surgery, I know riding can put a lot more stress on things

Hmmm, i have clip ons too, so maybe making something thicker than stock brace will be better...? food for thought, thanks for checking it out

Thanks PJ I knew you could offer a more convincing explanation than I would. I woulda said...You need a fork brace ...cause.....well....cause.....I said so damn it...that why!! LOL ha.
OK now back to business....what in the heck is an "arvo" ?

Did I say arvo? Arvo is just short for afternoon. as in "keen for a beer this arvo"...hahha, or did i use it someother way?

nothing you people say makes sense to me....lol I wish you guys would just learn to speak good old english like the rest of us. ha

Even the English don't speak much English and Ah Merrycans, or sepos as they are sometimes known in God zone*, speak another language altogether.

Translations:
* God Zone = God's own country = Orr stay lee are

Sepo is slang that I hadn't heard until recently and of course it meant Septic Tank = Yank

Hey. I don't make this stuff up. I just pass it along. But then again they call me a pommie bastard, so what what do I know ;-)

Kiwis are probably more polite than Aussies but they talk so funny.......
