Hey guys, I just bought my first project bike, a cl350. I'm 18 and in college so I decided to get a little side project to keep me occupied between school and working at, well ironically a small cafe near my house. I wanted to get a project and when i was around 12 years old i had helped my dad restore a suzuki fa50 scooter. i started looking them up just to see if i could snag a rebuilder for cheap and have something to screw around on in the neighborhood. Some weeks go by and i hadnt seen any good deals and randomly one day I was thinking about street bikes and I remembered seeing the remake of the movie Wallstreet with Shia lebouf and remembered thinking how badass his bike was. I looked it up and it was a Ducati streetfighter s. not really in a college students budget! So I read a little more about it and loved the standard/naked bike look, the bare essentials you could say. I then started looking at newer naked bikes and Thinking about buying one. Now I've been riding and racing motocross all my life and my dad had always rode dirtbikes throughout his life so the bug bit me young. Because of my dad growing up in the 70's and loving motocross, one movie that was constantly on in my house was On Any Sunday. For some reason I remembered seeing a couple parts that had the drag strip race bikes on there and thought to myself "hmmm I'd love to have a bike that looks like that." I loved the look of the very slim aerodynamic bike, chin stuck to the tank and hunched over trying to gain as much speed as possible. So I did a search and found cafe style bikes. I knew istantly I wanted one and started my eBay search for a project. I ran into this gem for $147.50 and since I work weekends, my dad drove up to Kansas one weekend to get it for me. Now it's sitting in my garage ready to be transformed into my dream cafe racer! Now since I'm new ill try to make a build thread and I've never really used forums so any tips on how to do that would be appreciated lol! Thanks
