I can't be the only one that wants the classic cafe look with the hump on the back, and still wants to take the girlfriend for rides. I'm pretty small, 5'11" with a 30" inseam and my gal is very petite. Do you think I could fit her on the back if I got this seat? I'm ok with us being cramped and uncomfortable as she won't be riding very often, but I still want to be able to take her every now and then and I am just in love with that seat.
It looks like you could force her on there with that seat.
Problem is the rearsets though, theres nowhere for her to put her feet. Trust me ive been in the same predicament. Its very very unpleasant.
If this is important to you dont run rearsets and retain the passenger pegs and you should be alright.
Im going to build a brat seat with a removable cowl for when the females have to ride.
Here is a link to an older post on the subject for another possible solution:

Looks like it was already posted towards the end of a similar thread you started last year, so maybe you have already seen it?
I can't speak from personal experience as I have been out of the country for work for a few months and am about half way through on my two project bikes with unfinished/undecided seats.
Also, cannot make any comment on whether or not squeezing two people on would work or not. It looks like you have already made the consideration, but for any lurkers reading this thread, note that a new passenger peg location would be necessary if the standard passenger peg mounts were used to mount rearsets.
Good luck and please post results when you find a solution that fits your situation.
Yes I am keeping the passenger pegs and having rear sets just forward of them. I don't think it's comfortable having rearsets all the way in the back anyways.
I've been doing a lot of research on a brat seat with a removable cowl and I'm considering just taking the easy way out and going with a normal cafe seat. Maybe even make a brat seat,a s changing the seats isn't much harder than taking a cowl off.
That link with the removable seat cowl is amazing. I might try to pull that one off. But I don't think she will be riding a ton, so I don't really want to alter the whole bike for her. I would love to mimic a lot of that DCC bike, and then if she can squeeze on every once in a while then that's great. Ughh. Decisions, decisions.
I have run CB400F pegs, shifter and brake lever on other bikes, including CB350F and CB550s. It might work for a CB750 but I am not sure how the pegs mount. Basically, the CB400F pegs sit about 6-8 inches back from the other stock pegs; the pegs sit behind the mounts on the CB400F and on the others they sit in front of where they mount. They are sort of a semi-rear set. But with both the CB350F and the CB550 you can continue to run stock passenger pegs -- but her toes will be on your heels. I've got a '71 CB750 project and I can see if it'll work. For the other bikes, you've got to also run the shifter linkage and brake pedal, so there is some finessing to do. Another potential issue is exhaust clearance -- what exhaust are you running?
