Found in the middle of nowhere in Michigan...

Thought you guys may enjoy what I came across this a few days ago. It's all 50s 60s and 70s hondas. Some of the highlights include a cb450d, 1957 benly, black bombers, bomber police bike, and so on. Most of it is for sale and I will be going a second time to buy more. I can also buy stuff for anyone else if you are serious. Keep in mind a lot of it doesn't come cheap, although the unrestored barn ones seem very well priced. I'll let the pictures say the rest.

Didn't ask about 450d spare parts, but they did have 3 of them at one point. I can make a list of what people are curious about for when I go back

Thank you so much for the outstanding photos!
The two neatest bikes in your pics for me are the black CS92 (or it could be a CS95) with the high pipes - "S" standing for "Sport" if you can believe it and the red CB450 with factory-installed left and right side high pipes - not both on the left like the CL450. I've got photos of both in old magazines but never ever saw either one here in Canada.
Some of the other bikes might be what today we'd call grey market bikes - they were never imported into the States by Honda. A lot of servicemen brought them back after their tours of duty overseas ( mainly 'Nam but Europe as well).
When you're back there, have a look around for any 125cc twins with dual carbs and if you see any, I'd be obliged if you'd snap a few photos for me... 'cause they're really rare over here (I've only ever seen one).
Great find, great piccies, thanks for making my Monday!

Yea, I'm curious about where in Michigan this collection is as well, or is it an "invite only" thing? I don't want to step on your find or anything, just curious :)

I don't want to go out giving the location (and I'm not sure if the guy wants me to) but if someone is close by I can always take them with me for a look. I spent around 4 goes searching last time.

Yes, that 125 is a sport model. And the 450d with tw high pipes is considered one of the rarest Hondas. I'll search for twin carb ones like you say. Do you know what model they are?

Cheers

Hi J,
The object of my confused desires is a 1967 Honda 125 twin, variously known as the SS125 (K3?) or in some countries the CB125.
The '67 was the last year of the sloper engine with the left side camchain - in '68 they changed to the center camchain I believe but in some areas of the world the bike may have been sold (a lot) longer.
The 125 twin I'm interested in had a tubular steel chassis and bodywork similar to the CB160 of the same era, no electric starter and ran a pair of 22mm carbs - bigger than the CB200 carbs by a stretch!
In Canada, we also got a pressed steel backbone frame, single carb version SS125 which I'm not interested in.
If the fellow has a parts motor or even a top end, cylinder head, whatever for a dual-carb 125, let me know...
As an aside, looks like the fellow's private residence so I understand his reluctance in having hordes of people descend on his home.
Maybe he could do a "showing" sometime and charge admittance or a donation to his favourite charity or something...
Depending on where you are in Michigan, I could probably even convince myself my old truck could go the distance LOL...
Thanks again for the great photos and tell the owner thanks as well.
Pat

I was so overwhelmed when I went and didn't really get to look too deep into things. I'll look especially for one of those when I go back. Where are you located?

Fellow Michigan man here looking for a set of cb175 mufflers, air filters, and right air filter cover that'll fit a 72'. please let me know if you're back there!

Hi J,
I'm in the Toronto area, so a bit of a drive no matter what - just as long as you aren't in Whitefish Point or Saginaw or some such, it'd be worth the drive1
