this is a 1975 CB 550 Cafe/modernization project.build thread is in my signature

1975 CB550 frame and engine
2001 SV650 Forks, Wheels, Brakes, Controls, rearset.
1986 ninja aluminum swingarm modified for dual shocks, rear sprocket carrier modified so the chain would line up.
Brand new ($350) exhaust, never seen heat yet
Brand new Dyna Coils
fiberglass Manx seatpan
1972(ish) CB200 Tank (only for the right offer!) will also include 2 stock CB 550 tanks.
I have a stack of used tires for the SV wheels that can also go along with it.
there is a new chain, that would have worked had I not added a 2" stretched swinger lol
I got it running before I tore it down for cleaning and modification, so a quick clean and some fuel it should fir up once wired.
the wiring harness was hacked, I started to clean it up, but ran out of time/money/interest, and i really need to get it out of my dining room
I have most of the stock parts that can go with it, the ones that were worth saving that is.to ride this, it would need:
wiring,a few additional chain links,Rearsets mounted, seat secured, brake light secured, custom throttle cables

Lots of time and money into this, but I'll take a loss to regain the space for my running bikes. I would prefer to keep the CB200 tank, but I will sell for the right offer.

I'd love to see 900 including all stock parts and the modified/aftermarket parts

$700 no exhaust or cb200 tank.

I'm open to offers. Located in Monroe MI

Re: FS: 75 CB550 frankenbike project

I wish I was in the market for a new project. I would love to make this bike sweet. It really has the potential.

Unless you want to trade for a chicken coop...

Re: FS: 75 CB550 frankenbike project

Lol, thanks, but I do not have the space or need for a chicken coop.

I would love to finish this bike, and if I get the house with garage soon enough, then I hope to keep it!

Re: FS: 75 CB550 frankenbike project

If you were closer, this would be mine.

Re: FS: 75 CB550 frankenbike project

Thats a good price. making it run is fairly easy and when it runs, you can ask more money for it. Needs a lot of work to be purdy though..

Thanks, I've been contemplating doing a new harness for it. It ran before I pulled it apart, so, really, it wouldn't take much. The problem is that I got t-boned in my car while towing 2 bikes. Replacing the car and fixing the bikes is priority, kind of why I'm looking for cash!
