Hi again, After much searching and trawling the bike breakers for a fairing I had given up all hope of finding one, until.....
Talking to a friend of mine about it who lives 70 miles away comes out and says " I have got just the thing "
A couple of weeks later we meet up and he presents me with this fine looking piece of M/C history. It is off a Jawa50 sports moped that he was left with for the last twenty odd years (moped has since long gone).
No fixings came with it so I've had to start from scratch. Also the H/light still turns with the steering. I have yet to finish the mounting but it is almost there. Flashers will have to be fitted flush on fairing.
Once all is well with fitting it will be removed to be painted the same colour as tank and panels.
I will add more photos as it comes along.
Excellent work Tad! Looks really good and fits the Ace well. Has it made any difference to the top speed? I am still looking to do the same with my Ace - though pattern Honda RC racing fairings are prohibitably expensive. I am also looking at the possibility of a fairing similar to that used on the Dream 50 (see below)

Hi Herbert, Glad you like it. I've not ridden it yet as the flashers touch the fairing when turning and it's not tightened up yet.
Can't imagine it will make any difference to performance at all.
Will look better when screens are cleaned and fairing painted.
One step closer now, After fettling and tidying up the fairing I took it to local paint sprayers for him to have a look at.
He had a look and said " Yeah I can do that for you, give me two days" So he used his clever machine that read what colour the paint is on my side panel. and two days later I picked it up along with the flasher body's I give him.
The rest is now up to me to sort out flasher wires out of H/L to new flashers and fit it without scratching it.
I will post more photos when finished (need to find the time).
Tad
PS, The paint is Kawasaki Grey Ninja ZX12R
Code KAW 7E
HI Herbert, up to now the only decals I would like are the yellow Honda flash's that are a sort of triangle shape. I will have to see if our vinyl man can cut me some. So for the time being it will stay plain. Hoping to get it fitted this week, The flasher wires are now sorted and I have got hold of nice fasteners. Then all I will need is some dry weather and a bit of sunshine.
Well here is my Ace with it's full fairing fitted.
There is a little bit of tweaking to do, but it wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't.
The paint match is a lot better than I thought, It will add no more speed to it but it does look even faster when parked.
I have yet to ride it in the dark, but have tried the lights on the drive at night and they seem to still work as well without any reflection due to the matt black finish inside.
I look forward to your feedback.
Cheers, Tad.
The colour xuits; it will be interesting to see how the headlight works when cornering at night. It certainly makes the whole fitment business simpler not having the light fairing mounted!
Hi 2b, Haven't had chance to ride it yet as it's winter in the UK. That means it's not only cold but the council cover the roads with rock salt, so the Ace is staying where it is for now. If we get a nice dry weekend I may venture out.
Thanks for your comment, Hoping it will be more streamline than the dogs Bollocks.
Not been out yet due to time of year, but does feel strong enough for warp speed on a Ace 125 as that's very different to warp speed on Star Trek.
If I get a nice day I will be able to let you know how it is.
Cheers, Tad.
I got a 'returned' 150 kit from Yeovil riders for £30 .....
Peops buy them for their jap CGs, try to fit them, realise they won't, then send them back and they sell them off cheap.
I love your bike Tad.What model is yours,an ACE 125? is that similar to a CG125? I have an 81' CB125S and would love to find a fairing similar to yours ! 8)
