FZR600 fighter

That looks really good! I was thinking it would look like an FZR600 that I altered some bodywork on many ears ago. The owner painted the bodywork monochrome with the same color as you have on your frame, but left the frame silver and the wheels black. I didn't care for it. Your powdered frame and wheels are awesome!

need to decide on what to do on the tins! not sure about the carbon fiber look, we will see. the rest is just putting stuff back on, not too wild, still got a bit of powder that needs done and scrap up a 100 bucks for new gaskets... then she is ready, and the next one comes in... hope my harley is going to get done in here some time soon.... wait till you see what we are doing to a road king this month

I gotta tell ya man... A nice mettalic or pearl white with some satin black accents would be KILLER! I usually dont dig white on most bikes, but the tins unpainted got me thinkin...

I don't think white goes with the rest of the scheme. A nice root beer with a small hint of tiny gold metallic in it would look pretty sick though!

Hmmm. maybe I should just save that for Eileen!

i need to lay a sample down and see, i am going to shoot a small part in the carbon fiber idea i have and see how that looks then i can take it from there

It would also look like a promotional bike for A&W rootbeer!

I hear ya Joe, go for the carbon first as that is the way you designed this bike! If the carbon look seems like it just won't work for whatever reason, try to find a dark color for the tins, as the CF look would have been dark. Black would work, but it would be an unsatifactory bore to an otherwise exciting scheme. I have planned on Eileen being mostly white, so no root beer for her, but that color would look really good aainst that orange. Just dont' go blue or green, that would have a look of some sports teams! Keep it classy!

Von, marketing people put colors together like that for a reason! Think about it!

Boy, your really on it today! Marketing in the 30's as far as color choice, has not really changed, if it is appealing to the eye, you will look at it! Now or then!

Sorry for the thread jack Joe, but this reminded me of a college project I had. We (as in students) were all given the same product (small hand garden tool). We were told that we could not change the function of the tool in any way, add or remove any material! We were allowed to get the tools handle from the manufacturer in multiple colors and the shaft of the tool in multiple colors. Our assignment was to choose the color of the tool and get it in from order, name our product, create a packaging for the product, and create banner/ marketing material for our product. After all of this was complete each group set up in different locations at a home and garden expo to sale the product. Grades were based on sales! This proved that color, package design, title, and overall apperance changed buyers perception of purchasing. This was a very neat assignment and I got an A with my group. We sold the second highest amount, the highest group had a very interesting packaging that was shaped like a 5 sided pyrmid. Thought you guys might like to hear that!

Carry on!

I love the pic of your wife on the roller....

"hey honey....it's only 42 below 0, climb up there and swing a leg over for a pic!"

hehehe

played with some paint here on lunch and came up with this... not too bad

and the wife is now more than willing to help out cause she really wants to ride this sucker

What about a belly-pan??

And what are you doing for the headlight?????

Looks good already, but I need MORE... :D

headlight is a blend of a stock set up for the guages, and a fighter headlight. belly pans are STUPID $$$$ so unless i can come up wiht a el-cheepo mod for that i am not going to run it

here is the headlight that i am going to use... i cut and shaped it to move it 1 inch closer to it and 1 inch down... that was as tight as i could get it, and keep the stock guages
i know this is not for everyone... but i got to be honest, i FN love it, so does my brother so that is what we are going with, it is completely different than anyting on any of the bikes around here.

Headlight looks wicked cool!! I like the mock up of the carbon too...I think it's just what the bike needs to balance and finish it off.

Have you still got the original fairings? Cut them down to make a bellypan ;)

bike came with nothing in the way of plastic, well i take that back, had the fighter headlight housing all cracked to hell that i have redone and fixed, and the two rear side pieces, that is all... the rest i had to scrounge up and find and buy. plus i put all that work into the powder work on the headers i kind of want to show that off... not really cover it up.... everything from the headers, to the linkage to even the clamps have been coated... it should look insane!
