garage/ man cave ideas...

Neal has plans to build a bar just like you describe Mike, but with wood and glass instead of angle and plexi. It helps that we have a friend that is a cabinet maker...The moto art is a necessary though....and a steelers banner.

carpet that sucker man! i use outdoor carpet in all our garages it rocks!!! that and a flat screen and your off to a good start!

Carpet tiles. That way when Bruce, Marty and Trev turn up and Trev does his normal trick of passing out on the floor and vomiting on himself and the carpet, you can pick that tile up and swap it with the one under the fridge.

I am in the process of building my shop and am wondering about carpet also. I like the idea, but doesn;t carpet burn really bad when sparks get on it. I have had outdoor carpet start on fire and smolder when I thought I put it out. I would like to put this down, but am always doing small welding repairs and using cut-off wheels. Any thoughts?
thank you

Carpet tiles. If one of them catches fire you just move the rest out the way ;)

Yeah, handlebar mustaches and smelly hipsters are in too.

I'll stick with my shag carpet and just shampoo as needed thanks.

Uhhhh My house has shag on the wall. No joke, I'll get a pic after work.
So do you stroke the furry wall when you're on a Jeffrey too?

mine is constantly evolving, but does involve most everything listed in the above posts. I need to get some better shots.

Everybody needs at least one furry wall in their house.

I coughed a mouthfull of lunch out just now while reading that...

My man cave has a tv,mini fridge, couch, a few road signs and license plates, and an old computer for playing old games and music, no internet at home yet so I can't justify upgrading to a nice computer for watching stupid videos yet. Oh, and about 100 empty Guinness bottles in carousel locations. Insulation is slowly happening too. To bad beer bottles don't insulate walls very well...

That reminds me. A computer with all the bike related schematics, repair manuals, parts lists and service manuals is a must in the shed. Been on my to do list for some time.

Wow, that carpet is one of those epic house features you almost want to frame just to say "yeah, they really did do that." As for the computer, yup, all my manuals are on it too, also build logs and parts lists for oils changes in all wheeled things I have. Saves mucho time. A dart board is also on the wall, and an old cb500t jugs for an ash tray. Im a pipe guy, so don't use it a lot, but all the usual suspects that come in and out appreciate it, plus its a bike part so its cool..

Yea, I was working on a man cave and that's how I got bite buy the cafe racer bug. I was just looking for and old bike to display in the man cave. I'll quote my wife here "I guess that man cave is put on hold now". Rock head side to side when you say that and you'll have the full effect that I got ;D.
