Any riders in Georgia? I've never seen another in state cafe bike besides my own.

I'm located here in Marietta, haven't seen many other cafe bikes here in Atlanta either.

OK guys.. Used to live in Savannah.. Get in touch with Larry in Hotlanta. He runs the Atlanta RAT Chapter.. Also has a sweet TBS Cafe. Also look up some of my friends with a shop called British in the City..

Hope that helped....

P.s. I visit Savannah and Atlanta at least once a year now.. If Im in the area I always have one of my Cafe's... Let me know where you are and we can ride.

Cheers

I'm in Roswell/Alpharetta, but my bike is currently disassembled. I saw a few cafe bikes at the VJMC show in Marietta this past spring, including mine.

There are a few guys around, but not many. I hope to have my bike running by next spring and would love to go for a ride. I did see an old CB450 this weekend down in Little 5, but it wasn't a cafe.

I live in Lawrenceville and work in Marietta, I've seen a couple of cafe's running down Highway 78, lots of old school choppers around. Sadly like Flugtechnik my bike is in pieces.

I just recently moved to the Atl area and brought along my CB360 project. I am interning and finishing up school, but just got a halfway decent paying job, so I'm hoping to have her on the road some time in November. Here's the frame mocked up...

very nice. I'd love to get ahold of a 360 to pull apart.

I am hoping to have her up and running in the next month or so. She still needs some work, and I tried to paint the frame with that appliance epoxy, and it didn't come out all that well...so I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get it powedercoated. $$ was a serious issue before, or I would have gotten it done earlier, but I should be able to afford a powder job in the next few weeks. As soon as I get the bike up and running, I'll hit you up. Maybe go on a ride. I used to live in Athens. Good town, man.

My goal is to have round 2 of my mods complete by Thanksgiving (mikuni carbs installed, air pods, gel battery, rear tire, new chain, crossover exhaust pipe, electric start components removed). I'll be riding over to Lawrenceville for Thanksgiving. Round 3 will be a complete engine rebuild scheduled for January-March of 2010. I'm itching to get up 19 between Cleveland and Blairsville but my bike needs to be ready for such a heady climb. My goal is an April ride up the hill.

I so want to take my bike up into the mnts when I get it back together. Before I tore it apart, it was not reliable enough to take it up there. I was actually thinking about trailering it up to Helen or up to Deal's Gap. If we both have our bikes ready next spring we need to get a DTT ride set up to head to the hills. I live in ATL but I work in Greenville, SC. I have the bike back in SC now so I can work on it. Well, most of it. The frame is still in ATL. I've been bringing it up in pieces. ;)

Sounds like most of you have your bikes torn apart, you should definitely post up when you're back on the road. I had an awesome time riding the 350F up around Johns Mountain in north west GA last weekend. Empty farm roads ftw :)

I haven't been riding up thru Helen yet, the roads look fun, but all that traffic scares me for sure.

Most of the folks inbound/outbound from Helen are Atlanta oldies out for the weekend to see the "country." Get above Helen and you're in good shape. The run from Clayton over to Haiwassee is a fun run. Uphills and down, nice arcing turns and a few twisty tight bits. Cleveland up to Blairesville is a steep climb most of the way. LOADS of twisty's. I'm hoping to have my bike up to task in 3 weeks for an overnight trip to Blairesville. Tricky thing will be figuring out where to stow the beer! :D

Yes, I was actually thinking of North of Helen. We stayed at a campground up there and drove up to brasstown bald. The whole time we were going up there I was thinking, "I wish I was on a motorcycle."

I can't imagine coming down from Brasstown on a bike! My brakes were smoking on my car the first time I came down that road. I was a teen and didn't know about running in a lower gear.

I live In Sandy Springs and just got a 1976 Honda 360T this weekend. In a few months, it will be another Cafe racer for the Atlanta streets.

Welcome! I think we can get a cafe scene going in ATL yet! Unfortunately, my bike is still in pieces and in SC. Maybe if I ever get to work near my house in Roswell again, we can meet up for a ride. Unfortunately, I'm heading up to Greensboro in January for a 3-6 month job.

There are some nice places to ride just north of me in Alpharetta out among the horse farms.

Make sure you start a build thread so we can see it take shape!
