Getting fork tubes-

Just pulled my forks for the preliminary inspection before I program the triple clamps, and the have mild corrosion issues that can be hidden by a headlight bracket clamp, but then............

I was wondering why the left leg's oil was milky (water contamination) and lo and behold, a pretty deep scratch right at the seal when the bike sits without rider weight. New tubes are in order.

Called "Cycle X' and he offers CB750 fork tubes for a measly $150, but he is totally out of stock, sounded like he was on meds, and couldn't tell me if they were CB550 compatible.

I called "Forks by Frank" (he did my resto/mod work MV and Ducati forks for vintage racing years ago) and he will have some perfect tubes out next week for $250.00, more expensive, but he does it in-house and has a great rep.

So, if you need forks tubes for anything, "Forks by Frank" is a source.
