Glass seat pan attempt.

I'm using a closed cell neoprene on my seat that is similar to yours. Stuff is easily shapeable. Sands around the edges nicely, and to me, is fairly comfortable.

I had planned on an LED insert i bought that has a slash back matching the tail angle, but I have been looking at the tail signal combo units, up in the air. Family came to town and slowed things down, the seat and tail is headed to the upholstery shop Thursday.

Final result: The sides were supposed to be charcoal, but look gray to me... basically mustang GT seat pattern.

So what kind of foam did you end up going with for the seat? And how did you go about attaching the fabric to the pan? My constant question has always been whether or not you would be able to use staples for the upholstery on a glass seat pan.

two layers of black yoga mat but more like memory foam type, very dense, one layer of 1/4" head liner stitched to the cover and yes... contact cement and narrow crown coated staples were used. seems to be they are holding really well, no damage from the gun, but it's fresh so we'll see how it holds up over time.
