So talking to the Mrs today, the topic of me offing myself came up if I did something unsafe or stupid. Her reply was that of "So long as you have life insurance, I dont care" (we just bought a house, moving in next month.) So I said, what if I race motorcycles or somthing like that?, "So long as you have life insurance"...

I might be saving up for a bike to race in the next year or two.

Yeah... definitely one of the double-edged swords.

I already tried the life insurance card with my Mrs and she insists I stick around to help with the kids...

My wife has me heavily insured. When I go, all the bills are covered and there'll be a nice chunk leftover for her to cope with the cut in income.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... I don't care what the circumstances are concerning my death... my wife should be treated as the main suspect!!

When I told the same thing to my wife, she just said "don't worry, you'll never know when I cash it in."

My wife watches all those crime dramas, so if I ever come up missing, I told my friends she did it.

Technically, if the insurance company has any doubt whatsoever about your passing being a suicide, they wont pay out. You race bikes and go out in a fireball? They will pay (but check the fine print first). If you post on a public forum about collecting insurance from said fireball........they would love to fight your grieving widow for the insurance.

I'm at work, I cant look at videos. There is one out there that has a guy driving a car, his wife is divorceing him, and as shes going through the laundry list of everything. As shes going through it all the guy is speeding up the car. When the wife asks him what he wants, he says "I have everything I need", She replys "Whats that?" he says "Air bag" as he crashes the car in to a bridge.

Actually, "technically" a LOT of insurance companies will now pay out for suicide, and sadly, I know this because I've dealt with it first hand. If you've had an life insurance policy for so many years, after that point if you commit suicide, they still pay out everything you've setup including the life insurance.

The case im referencing was your normal postal carrier. After almost 30 years working their, and a horrible situation, insurance still paid everything out without a question.

As ironic as it is, it has Nothing to do with the postal service, and i'm hoping no postal jokes come of this.

Yup. My life insurance pays out for suicide so long as it doesn't occur within the first two years of holding the policy.

Fortunetley mine even covers active war zones (I think the only one what will) and a ton of other details you wont find anywhere else.

So what type of racing you thinking about?

Tell her not to get all up your business. You don't get in hers while she is in the kitchen.
