I was looking up Mad Max style armor and found this guy.

I know they're bicycle tires, but now I have all kinds of ideas. He even made sprocket buckles.
 
I'm about to change out the avon road-rider currently on my bike. And I do need a new belt. Hmmmm. Wonder what the process is...
 
I don't know, but I have already started designing on my my Road Warrior inspired armored jacket. I'm also working on a mc tire punk wristband. :)
 
I've got some ideas for a mad max style jacket too. Although the guys in the vintage clothing forum (or whatever it is called) kind of cringed when I showed them the jacket I was going to cut up. a 70's era AMF harley jacket that use to be my dad's back in the day. I have an old MX chest protector that I have cut out the breast plates, back plates and shoulder armor. I am going to paint them black and attach them somehow. I dunno, it's a one of these days kind of project.
 
My wife got me a pair of leather sandals in Brazil a few years ago that have dual sport tire tread on the bottom.
If anybody is interested I'll post a picture of them.
 
I have 3 pairs of Simple shoes that use recycled tires as the soles. Choco sandals also started their sandals doing the same. Great sustainable shoes.

So, I saw this and thought "hmmm, I have an old buckle I can use for this." So, I yanked the useless front tire off my Harley M65 project and Bam! I have a new belt.
