Next weekend in Grants Pass, if any one gives a shit. I didn't get to go last year, but I heard there were several Triumphs, my buddy had his Royal Enfield down there, and my old neighbor won some awards with his WWII era Harley trike. What I am getting at is that this isn't (usually) your normal chrome-a-holics, V-twin, my chaps are blacker than yours, motorcycle show. Yes there will be plenty of V-twins also. A guy I met last week will have his Triumph bobber down there this year. I am going to check it out. If you are in SO. OR. check it out. It is also a truck show this year. I'll be down there with way too much camera equipment strapped to my back.

So i made it down to the bike show. I met a guy through work who had built a Triumph bobber and had it down there and I told him I'd shoot some pictures of it. Nice bike, but too crowded to get great shots. The thing I liked most about it was the powder coated tank. I didn't even know you could do that, but I guess it don't see why not.(I just don't remember hearing any one do it.) It is a brilliant metal flake green, with an orange, or yellow base. (I can't remember which). Again, I didn't know about metal flake powders. So it was a learning experience too. Turns out he had his wheels into the shop where my wife works to get laced. It turned out to be an ordeal, but they took care of him and he manages a vineyard, so she got a sweet bottle of wine out of it.
There were more bikes than I expected, but it is also the same weekend as the Iron Horse Rally, out side of Grants Pass. Needless to say, it was V-Twin heavy in representation, but there were several modern sport bikes, some V8 trikes, and a respectable showing of vintage bikes. There was a sweet little RD, but I didn't get any shots before he took off. A few early 80's Honda's, and one vendor with a trio of Euro classics. A Trident, Commando, and a BMW R75 (I think). You will see that my photos are skewed towards the Triumphs, but that is what interested me today. In fact, I didn't shoot much else. Except for the Yamaha RZ 350, Kenny Roberts bike. It was pretty freekin' sweet.
Maybe next year I will have a bike, or two, there, and, we can get more of the Nor Pac'ers to represent. I know there is some more classic representation down here on the PNW riders board. I really think this show has some potential. Or maybe its cause its my hometown, and I want it to have potential.

Ryan

Good to hear. Checked out your website. Bad ass pics. You definately got skills.

Well I've always got activities cookin. Got a couple customer bikes in the works and five bikes of my own in line for builds. As of this spring I will be moving my operations down to Grants Pass. I'm transferring to the Central Point laboratory and will be working with my brother after hours to build my (our) business even better. We'll have to get together soon. I'm down there every other month.

That sounds great. and, thanks for the compliment. I am always looking for bikes to shoot. your welcome to holler at me anytime. come down, hang out with the other Idiots and Assholes (thats what they call themselves) and drink a beer or two... if you're into that.
I look forward to hearing from you.
