GPZ550 cafe racer

You did it assembled? Not wise if you did, there's no way to keep sand/glass from getting into places it shouldn't be even when masked properly.

With the distance between tire and seat frame everyone can be calm, I'm not asking an advice. the height difference from custom seat and original seat is only about 2cm. so everything is measured. rear fork now is in the lowest position, so I can raise it up. also spoked wheel is lower for about 3 cm than the red one. So you don't need to worry about my project

while dohc's delivery is sanctimonious arsehole at best, his point is valid.

you need to remove the spring from the shock and have the bike sit with the shock fully compressed. that will show you what may happen, and then you give another 25mm or so clearance above the tyre to allow for the bump stop compressing. this is what kawasaki did, and what you need to.

the style is art and up to you, hard stuff like suspension is science.

today I started to assemble the frame. It was fully painted some days ago.

Interested to see how your bike turns out Tomixas. Those wheels/hubs look ace.

Your exhaust is almost the same as mine and I have been thinking about shortening it by cutting the middle 'cone' section by 200-250mm and welding the end can, with remaining middle section stub, to the collector where the i/d is the same.

Had same exhaust so just went for it :p cut it on joint so baffles were gone and a fair bit of weight too ;D sounds awesome on the throttle lot better than the muted cat sound 8)
