GS35 mm top triple tree compatability

wasn't sure where to put this so hopefully this is the right place for an answer.
The 83 gs450LD and the 550/650/750 triple tree sizing all shows 35MM fork sizing. Question is are they interchangable? I didn't know if the spacing was the same between forks and top stem mounting.
if so looking to see if anyone has an extra they would like to part with at a cheap price.

You mean just the top clamp?

Exactly Rich. I have a set of clip on bars on the way and I would like to "experiment with smoothing the top tree/clamp. I want to get one to work on so it will be a finished product by the time the bars come and the work gets performed. I want to avoid butchering my only good top clamp in case decide t needs to be weld-filled etc and causes the bike to be down while waiting on the completed process. Firgured if I could find another one this would be the easiest way to go about it.

My 83LD has 35mm forks. I can find plenty of 33 on ebay etc but most are more than i want to pay for a part I will be swapping out and setting on a shelf.
