well its been a bit since my last post. The bikes been on the road legally for about 2 weeks. its a feckin rocket!!! i`ve been riding, working out some bugs and smokin up the city!
i`ve had a fork oil leak, a clutch cover leak, an exhaust gasket leak (x3), a faulty voltage regulator, and spent a fortune on carb jets and needles. i also had a bitch of a time setting up my rear suspension. i used an r1 rear shock which is meant to be used with the dog bone set up and i mounted it straight off the swingarm. if you do that you can throw the spring weight rating out the window. it doesnt work the same. anyway, thanks to wolfe worx and race tech and we got er figured out.
heres what happens with a soft spring! ha, i didnt even notice this untill i`d been home for an hour.
i made this spring compressor. saves paying a shop to do it
heres a pic from my maiden voyage to the Bayfield old bike day. my bike and chris on his triple.
and check out this link. someone posted pics of my bike on 2stroke biker blog. the pics were taken at the Kawasaki triples Canada meet the other weekend.
