Handlebar Survey

Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for some new handlebars. I was wondering what your opinion when it comes to a set of handlebars that not only gives an old CB750 an aggressive stance, but also a comfortable feel. I've been looking at some clubmans and some tomasellis, but I'm still having some trouble deciding.

Thanks everyone

Sorry nothing i can think off,

Soemone must know on here though.

I have these on my CL350... Love them. I have been digging on "superbike" bars lately too... I was gonna use them on my CB350F but my bro (who might end up with the bike) likes classic clip-ons.

Here are pics of the Torazzi's on my bike. Hope it helps.

I've got clubmans on my honda 400. I like 'em! they work well, you get to adjust your "lean". Good luck.

i have the clubmans with 6" pull back on my cb350 it's pretty leaned over but they are adjustable . . . one thing that is nice about the clip ons is that you can lower the front end more with them. the forks hit the clubmans on my bike after lowering the forks about 40mm.

That is true, if you ever want to shorten your front end, you can only do it so far with the clubmans.

Thanks everyone! My back is pretty good, so bending down to ride shouldn't be too big of a problem. Those torazzi's look amazing, woody, but I think they may be a little too expensive for my meager finances. I'm thinking about going with the clubmans. I've been wanting to lower the front end as well, and have been worried about the difficulty of doing so with the clubmans, but fuck it. I need some new handlebars, and those seem nice both aesthetically and functionally. I've been hearing that they can get a bit painful on the wrists sometimes though. Has that been seeming true for you guys?

I have the same tarozzi's on my seca.
Honestly I don't find them as agressive as the Clubmans, although I could always adjust em a bit.

Plus I think they look a little too modern.
But they're high quality bars, and you can put em however you want!
So it all comes down to cost... and fake 'cred' from the people who will tell you clubmans aren't cool enough. lol

I've been considering going back to clubmans... In case you couldn't tell. ;)

I've only been riding my bike to adjust the carbs (maybe 5-8 miles tops) and i have to tell ya the clubmans are rough on the wrists, I have a decent back and they don't bother it at all. I really like the look and aggressive riding position. I would buy them again.

yeah, I have noticed that my wrists tend to bother me after a good ride... oddly enough my left more than my right, but I don't think that matters! It could just be the angle that I've got them set at.I do plan on getting some clip-ons after I put on my tank.

Yep... new the the whole Facebook thing... finally caved to the peer-pressure... first thing I did was try and find cafe racers on there.

hey woody, your on the Facebook cafe racers group, arent you.

I think it's more than how is your back man, What kind of riding are you planning on? that is the big question I love my clubmans they are very comfortable but, they do not allow for any re-adjusting on my seat while riding distance. I am going with drag bars because of this. just one more thing to consider

I'll be doing riding mainly around town. If I decide to take it on any curves, the good roads will be about a 20-30 min drive down the highway to the base of a mountain. So, shouldn't riding long-distance too much.

Before you make a decision, take a good look at Bikemaster Superbike bars; they're a blatantly cheap copy of the old classic K & N Superbike bars, and they come in black or chrome. The K & N bars were real high quality; the Bikemaster bars are cheaper, but you won't be ashamed to install them. They're inexpensive (between $15 and $25 retail), and if you decide you don't like them, you can sell them to me (BLACK ONLY!)...

I like fancy, high-grade, high-end bars as much as the next guy, but my "disposable" income dictates that I buy parts I can pay for with pocket change. The K & N Superbike bars in black chrome would knock the eyeballs out of your head; the Bikemaster bars are an acceptable substitute, but not the front-end jewellery that K & N provided us back in the day...

Superbike bars offer a good compromise between the stock bars and Clubmans; the Superbike riding position puts more weight on the front wheel, which improves traction at the tire contact patch. Of course, they're not as radical as Clubman bars, which can stress the carpal tunnels on extended rides. Superbike bars will allow you to lean forward slightly (into the oncoming wind), which will push against your chest, holding you in a relatively aggressive riding posture, while keeping you in a good ergonomic position during the ride, and reducing the strain on your wrists and lower back.

Good luck with your decision; hope this information helps you make the choice. kd

Are you talking to me? My Torrazzi's are 33mm... I linked the 35mm cause that's what your CB750 would need.

wait, you put 35 mm clip ons on your cl350? i could have swore they had 33mm forks.

I've got clubmans on two of my bikes, the only two that are currently rideable:

The Ducati I ride 77 miles a day and find the clubs to be much more comfortable and natural than the stock, higher bars. They were a pain to fit on though.

The Honda's uncomfortable six ways from Sunday, but I beleve that has more to do with the footpegs, it was fine with mid-controls.
