To those who get it.
My brothers and sisters who live life fully engaged, eyes wide open, fevrently revelling in the fleeting nature of existance. As we get near the end of another short year I know you are taking this time to look around and enjoy what truely matters to you.
I'm so grateful to have the friends I've made through DTT. An amazing and awe inspiring group of the most in touch people I could hope to meet. I could never say enough about the people who I have seen give the shirts off their backs, and open their homes to strangers. They are genuine folks who lend an ear, and freely give their time, knowledge, and ocassionally parts with no thought of return. There are even those among us who face the trials of friends and neighbors as if they were their own, all the while, never knowing how rare that sacrifice is.
Regardless of moral, ethical, or religious background, that selfless nature is what this day means to me. As I pass out the holiday trinkets to my loved ones today, in the back of my mind I'll think of these examples. I will think of the gift that you all have given me by just being the inspiration that you are. Raise your sesonal specific beverage of choice.
To the Tim and founders who built this place. To the solid core that keep coming back to day after day to keep it moving. And even to those who daily come in out of the cold, hungry for something, who flock around that undefineable thing that makes DTT what it is.
