Head work needed in North georgia!

Dream it. Build it. Live it.
Hey all, I need my valve guides replaced which means I need to find a good head guy. I'm in north Georgia. I'm willing to drive pretty far for good work. Does anyone know a good head guy in the area?? Thanks!!

i did mine myself and they turned out fine. unless your trying to do some crazy port work for oversized valves or w/e you can buy the lapping compound and the lapping sticks and do it yourself. i used my old valves anyway and just lapped them for a new seal. i just try and save money on the stuff i can do for other things, but any machine shop could do it.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't done any extensive head work myself, but there's always a first time. I'm all about saving money, and it looks like valve work is pretty costly from what I've seen. I'll look into doing it myself.

yeah man i just went to napa and they had some lapping compound and some sticks and i just went at it myself, there's a video of someone doing it somewhere on here. worked for me, you can do it!!

Thanks man, I'll give it a shot. I may be able to avoid the mess altogether because I found out my head gasket was leaking, so that might have been the problem... fingers crossed.
