headlight mount

it is 68 cl350 front fork spring's want to put after market headlamp mount's this is my first build so be kind??

What?!?

You're talking about the fork springs?

I'm not aquinted with that model, or any japanese for that matter, but don't the springs stop at the bottom triple tree?

I'm just guessing here, but, you're talking about trying to ditch some sort of fork shroud that covers the fork tubes/springs and incorperates the head lamp tabs?

After market head lamp bracket clamp around the fork tubes, between the top and bottom triple clamps.
like so;

So, if your bike is anything like most brits, you could
-remove the front wheel, and fender if fitted.
-remove the fork cap nuts
-loosen the pinch bolts on the triple clamps
- slide the entire fork assembly down
-remove the offending shouds
*I'd suggest some fork gators instead of exposed springs. Your fork seals will last longer.
-slide forks up thru the bottom clamp, add your new head light brackets,slide the rest of the way in.
-tighten everything back up.

Hope that helps-Cheers!
