New guy here, been trolling for a few years, getting ideas, flying under the radar. So I figure its time to go legit. Cool place for all kinds of bikes. I own a few different ones so I think I'll fit in good here. I have some finished bikes and a bike I'll do a build thread on. Can't wait to share some pics.

Here is my first cafe, I did this one two years ago. 1976 CB550, this summer I did a new 605 kit, web cam, CR29's, MReick head.

This is the second cafe I did this summer 1977 CB550. I call it the MoLester bike.

Cool bikes. My first Honda was a '76 CB550. It's one of those things I wish I still had.

Welcome CB550fcafe!! I'm new to this site also....in the process of cafeing a 1979 XS650 Standard which am picking up next week. I followed the link over to your build thread.....awesome work!! One of the nicest Hondas I've seen in a while. I particularly the powder coat color that used on the frame...it is exactly what I have been searching for to use on my XS650. To my mind, it makes the frame look like welded up chromoly steel. Like a specialist frame kit.......Spondon, Woods, Rickman, you know? Am I right that you said the color used in the powder coat was called "anthracite"? Is this something that is well known? I mean would any powder coating company know it and be able to get it? Again, welcome and thanks for your help! You have solved a major block in the planning of my build. You have a beautiful bike and I look forward to following your progress with it.

Phil, yes the powder should be a common name around PC shops. Most use Drylac brand. Thanks for the praise.
