Welcome to DTT!

A nice clean example, any plans for it? Fingers crossed, adding a front fender soon. ;)

I have the factory fender I want to trim it down that’s the plan for this weekend. Plans are somewhat cafe but function before what it looks like. New tires on the way aswell I know they’re old lol

Even a trimmed fender is better than no fender. It will improve handling, rideability and reduce fork seal wear.

Though full size fender will function better than a nifty looking trimmed. ;D

But you gotta do you...so get busy pulling wrenches and lets see it. haha

Fork seals and shocks are on the list for maintenance aswell. I’ve allready foxes quite a bit of badly repaired wiring, melted wire and a melted fuse block. Replaced the block with a new updated blade style holder. Rebuilt and synced the carbs what a world of a difference that made! I’m an automotive technician so it’s fun to try my hand at something new and learn some more skills. Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it!

We got some great "not so active" members in Kalamazoo area.

So, if your local to that area and need someone to look at something, they can be found.

I’m on the other side of the state south of Detroit by about a half hour or so. We actually have a small cafe shop the next city over that does a get together every Tuesday hoping to meet a few people to ride and bs with over there!

Welcome aboard. Originally from New Baltimore, but now in Georgia. Looks like you got a pretty complete OG 550 in great shape.

Thanks miller! I think I got pretty lucky paid for it and rode it home! Not something I think most of these cb’s around here are capable of for the price I paid!

I had my fun with it lol it rode great for the most part besides the starter stuck on during the ride home disconnected the shorted starter switch wire lol after that the first two weeks I’ve gone through most of everything on the bike. All clearances adjusted carbs rebuilt. Ect before I could even get it to run smooth at all a lot of popping banging and fouling plugs before.
