Help Needed - Basic Electrical Questions

I am a newbie to wiring. I need some forum knowledge. A couple of questions:

- Does it matter where the ground(s) are on the frame? What are some rules of thumb on placing ground wires?
- Where does everyone buy their wiring, and where can I get common old Yamaha connectors?

As long as it's to the frame and not a rubber mounted accessory you should be ok. Make sure the spot you ground to is free of paint/rust/etc. Only ground to bare metal.

Pep Boys. I also found bullet style connectors there that plugged right into my '72 DS7's harness.
