Help with new indicator/headlight controls

Hi everyone!

I bought a new set of handlebar controls and im having trouble working out the wiring. I contacted the retaer who had said they dont know either and hadnt had a chance to work it out. Im not very adept with electricals so any help appreciated. pic of the kit attached

I've used that one before, but I can't recall the details. I think this is correct, but you'll want to verify things with a multimeter before you hook it up.

I definitely don't think that's it, as there's nothing on that diagram for the horn, and those colours don't match the plug :)
 
Might be time to bust out the multimeter, then.

It's easiest, usually, to identify the high and low beams as well as the turn signals. That's six wires out of the way once you have those two circuits figure out. The rest should come pretty easily.
 
Easiest way to find out what wire does what is to open the housing and just see where each wire attaches. I've done several switch pod swaps and that's what I've done each time.

this works fastest every time
 
yeh tried opening it up and as its one of those push to reset indicator switches I wasn't too keen on pulling it out (haven't pulled one like that apart before)

my multimeter is also about 40-50 years old and starting to get a bit finicky, but I should be able to srt it out :) thanks guys!
