So I just bought a new vacuum petcock for my Suzuki GS550. During installation, I ran into an issue where the vacuum fitting (shown in the picture) is bumping into the frame because of the direction it faces. I'm wondering if I can simply remove the plate with the vacuum fitting and turn it 180 degrees to face the opposite direction. Should this effect the function of the petcock?
