Hey all, just discovered this site after being on custom fighters for quite a while. My first bike was a Suzuki RF 600, after an accident i threw it together quick to get out riding, i intended to work on that to get it more polished, but since i picked up a FREE '76 Suzuki GT 550 i think its going to be my new project. As it sits now i have a good frame one set of forks, 2 sets of wheels, 2 or 3 sets of good rear springs, 2 motors 1 seized, another set of heads (some rust not sure how bad yet) and 1 motor seems just fine. My intent now is to ride the RF again this year as it is, get the GT together and customized as Ive always wanted a 2 stroke triple as a project. im pretty sure i know what im going to aim for but trying to find pictures or build threads of cafed 550s has seemed a bit of a challenge. Anyways here is what im working with.
It's always good to meet other Suzuki RF owners. I had a 1993 Suzuki RF600 a number of years ago. I loved that bike and wished I never sold it. Pic below.
What year is yours and do you have pictures of the transformation into a fighter?
Hey, someone else from NB. This is a great site, you can get lots of help on just about anything. That pick of your RF was taken in Bloomfield. My Uncle used to own the horse farm next to the yellow church in the background. and my wifes Uncle just bought the farm off the old road on the corner of the springfield road. Nice area to ride. I take that way from Moncton whenever I go wisit the folks in Quispamsis on the bike.
WOW its Great to see another maritimer on here and you have it dead on where the picture was taken, on a cruse with my parents after i put the RF together and we stopped right before the covered bridge for a bit of a photo op
and Orlando some time soon ill get a few pictures together and post them up in the fighter section, i kinda wish i had documented it a bit better but it was last spring and i kinda rushed through it.
