Just found this site from the WERA board. Really cool rides on here. Just finshing an XJ 750 for a street bike and have plans for a CM 400 bobber. Here's some of the other stuff I've done.

Welcome to DTT! Nice Zuki! Where are ya in OH? Theres a bunch of OH guys here, and quite a few of us in the West PA area. Get some pics up of those projects!

BTF,

I'm on the west side of Cleveland. We've started getting some of us together and hope to have some rides this summer, etc. Am I to assume you have raced WERA? If so, I may want to pick your brains a little. I've got the bug to go vintage racing with my 650 eventually, and since AHRMA is no longer running at mid-Ohio, WERA is about the only choice in the area. As a Yamaha rider, I look forward to seeing your XJ soon.

Matt

Yeah ,pretty much of a WERA guy for the last 30 yrs. I ended up working for them. Feel free to ask about vintage stuff. It's near snd dear to me.
Unfortunately, WERA only has 2 dates at Nelson Ledges this year and I think 2 at Beaverun in PA.
There Is more than WERA in this area ya know. http://www.motoseries.com/ This group used to be Fasttrax but was reasently purchased by Motoseries.
I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust the size of my pics most everything is too big,but I'm getting there.
Here's a bike I did a few years ago as an AHRMA project but ended up selling it to a WERA guy.

BTF,

Thanks for the link. I just to a quick look , and really looks like a good opportunity. I want to do my cafe conversion with racing in mind, but also want to keep it so I can fit into the most "stock" like classes in WERA or AHRMA. I've got a nother couple of years before the $$$ are there to race (TWO kids at Ohio State!), but want to have the bike ready to go.

Matt

Hey wahoo, where on the west side are you? Im over in Cleveland Heights. We should def do some rides this summer, hit me up!!

GS,

Absolutely. There's a couple of us already talking about a Cleveland chapter/rides/meets/etc. Keep an eye on the Ohio DTT thread. I'm in North Olmsted, so far we are planning on the Tuesday nights at Melt bar and Grilled in Lakewood. Cool place if you've never been.

Matt

Good deal man!! My bike is in a million pieces right now, hopefully she'll be done by May but we'll see. You wouldn't happen to know anyone that can do some basic fabrication would ya? I just need to have two frame rails with a slight bend welded in place of the stock rear frame rails so that they flow up under the seat.

I hate to admit that I don't know anyone that can fab. I'm a non-welder myself, but am loking for ways to learn. Until then I'll target mods to hand tools! Maybe one of the others around Cleveland know someone though, hopefully they're following the thread and will jump in. You could post it in the Ohio thread as well.
