Hi fellow riders. I just signed up and thought I would say hello. I live in South Africa but work in qatar. I have recently bought a honda cx500 which I will turn into a cafe racer. (Yes, i can already hear the groans... sister in a brothel rather than a brother on a honda, plastic maggot, moto guzzi is better, cx makes a lousy cafe racer, etc, heard it all before )
I have wanted a cx500 for a while, and have seen some beautiful examples of cafe racers made from them. I am not anengineer or mechanic, just an enthusiast, so advice and constructive criticisms are more fhan welcome, but please, if you hate the cx500, feel free tosay so, but don't badger me incessently like I've seen in some other forums. On the same token, I'm not looking for any false praise, your honest opinionsand help can only make my bike better.
I hope i will hear from lots of you, and entertain you in my build, which I will start posting soon
