Hidden headlight?

Maybe this is a stupid idea, but has anyone seen/done a hidden headlight on a bike? I know Suzuki did it with the Katana.

It would be cool to have a full faired bike (ie: Cr-750 clone), with a number plate that either detaches or slides out of the way revealing the headlight. Maybe hide a small but bright running light, but by day have the smooth front fairing and still have a bright headlight for riding at night.

In the many states in the US you are required by law to have the headlight on during the day. Check your state laws.

In NJ and NY this is the law. The PoPo can ticket you for it. it was a federal requirement in 1976, so all bikes mfg after 1975 have to have lights on all the time. Not sure if all states require it. Pays to check

You might be able to use some of that vinyl like the rednecks put on their trucks....
you know the stuff where they have that epic fishing scene covering the entire back window? but you can still see through it from the inside...

something like that covering a clear fairing front with a headlight behind it would be cool if its possible. Reduced light output for sure though
