Hole in Float Bowl

Been Around the Block
I recently picked up a 1973 Honda CB350G. I've pulled the carbs, and after cleaning them, I've discovered a few small holes in one of the float bowls. Can this be fixed? If it can be, what is the best method? Solder, JB Weld, or just purchase a new one? I of course have four CB350 carbs sitting on the shelf, and none of them match the carbs from the 73

Had this problem with my CL350K3. I initially lightly soldered the holes, which worked well for a couple of seasons. This year the solder failed and rather than re-solder I ponied up the $25 and bought new repop brass floats from 4 into 1. Here's the link (http://4into1.com/reproduction-float-pin-set-of-2-16013-286-014-honda-cb-cl-sl-xl100-cb125s-ca-cb-cl72-77-cb-cl-sl350/). Not sure if these are the ones on the G model but I believe they have different versions.

That's what I was thinking. Just wasn't sure if it would hold up to the fuel, and heat. Thanks!

post a picture of the float bowl outside and in

i probably have one loose lying around if i do its yours for the stamp to send it

Wow. Thanks. I believe it's a second generation. The older carbs I have are more square.
