yes. they do exist. 3 year project (well, the warmer months) and she finally runs beautifully. Got a few more things to do (gas tank needs paint and cables were re-routed today)

Installed the ignitech to replace the CDI unit (which worked, but didn't work because a coil was burnt on the stator)
Long list of things I've done to it, but the main things are :

carbs rebuilt/re-jetted
air box gone
pods in
custom rear shocks
custom handlebars
custom guages (dime city)
custom signals (x4)
custom seat
custom shortened frame
lowered bike about 2"
new tail light
replaced 90% of electrical (still have nightmares from it)
custom headlight/assembly
radiator grill cover
stripped/ powder coated wheels
new tires
new cables
new liner inside tank
polished all the steel/aluminum parts
new plug caps
and a ton of other stuff, anything replacing something (not custom) is not even on this list, but most bolts/parts/etc have been replaced too...

The bike was a $#%#$@ing mess when I got it. I knew nothing about motorcycles, and can confidently say I know a thing or 2 now.

thanks Steve. watched your build, and love it too.

Lot of work has gone into her since last post, new temp gauge, new ingnitech, regulator/rectifier, few other things too. Got to still get the tank painted...but she's good on the road. Very happy. Will take better pics soon.
