The speedo on my Cb200 has its light out.
I cant see a good way of opening this up and dont wanna destroy it.

Any how-tos on getting these open to check the bulb?
Bulbs hard to find?

Thanks

the only way to do some of the honda gauges is to dremel a small slit in the silver ring that holds the gauge together, its the only way i know of on the sealed ones unfortunately. then you can replace the ring or weld it back together and hide the repair. wish there was a better way...

seems like it, or just buy a whole new bike, great marketing scheme.

absolutely not- you just pull the chrome bottom ring piece off by removing the two cap nuts. underneath that ring piece, there are rubber plugs that you can pull right out and the bulbs come out with it. You do not have to take tach and speedo apart to get bulbs out. Takes standard bulbs, I used LED bulbs from ebay to replace mine.

I used blue LED lights for both the Speedo and Tach, they worked great.

Nice bright deep blue, but when I used the LED for the turn signal indicator, it didn't work when the right lights were flashing.

I tried several other LEDs and the same thing happened, so I rewired the signals, and it didn't help.

I put the incandescent bulb back in, and it worked fine.turned on with the left and right signals, LED only worked with the left signal.

Anyone else have that problem?

I got mine open by prying the ring all the way around. Try a small screw driver or a sharpened paint can opener
