Honda CB200 electrical issues

I have a weird problem with my cafe'd 1973 CB200. All the electrics run fine when the kill switch is set to 'OFF', yet when I turn the kill switch to 'RUN' all the electrics stop (headlight, indicators, neutral light etc). If I turn the kill switch back to 'OFF', everything works fine again (so it's not blowing the main fuse and the battery is okay).

For some background, everything was working fine up until last week when my brakelight started playing up so I started checking all the connections to make sure something wasn't loose. Then my main fuse started blowing. I found a loose connection and this stopped the fuse blowing. I did a little resoldering of the main switch as well as two of the wires came out when I was pulling at wires finding the short that was blowing my main fuse. I may have connected these backwards?

Anyway, now I just have the issue of the electrics shutting down when the kill switch is set to 'RUN'. The wiring diagram is here if it helps (think the CB200T is the same) http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/WiringDiagrams/MCwiring.php#class

Would appreciate any help!!

Sounds like a real bugger of a problem. When you say you soldered the main switch, do you mean the ignition switch?

The kill switch should have nothing to do with any of the other wiring (minus the ignition of course).
