I'm searching for rear shocks to go on my project and I need the distance from the swingarm pivot to the shock mount of a CB550 to determine if the spring rate of the shocks I'm thinking about will work. It's a CB550 frame with a CB650C swingarm so that length is going to be different which increases the mounting angle. Looks like YSS has a set for the CB900 that will work but the spring rate is higher but if I know the mount angle of a CB550 shock I can compare the rates between the two. The angle on my bike would be greater which would require a stiffer spring for the same performance but since the mount angle is greater the spring rate may fall close to a stock spring at a lesser angle. If someone could post that measurement I'd appreciate it.
