asking too much man, sorry.

not to say its not worth taht much, but we never get out what we put it.

hell, if i were to sell my 350, in order to make any profit on it, id have to sell it for 3000+.... which would never happen so long as the buyer has any brain at all.

You mean YOU never get out what you put into it. But we can try.
"You said," asking too much man, sorry." But you did not give us any details about why you did not think he could get that much.

When you sell a motorcycle the buyer only knows what you tell them.
You have to go into detail and tell them about all the work that you did to the motorcycle.
Corrosion protection, all new bolts and nuts, all new wiring and electronic components,
Paint, New suspension parts etc.,.

The buyer needs to know that they are basically getting a brand new motorcycle so
that they can think about the fact that $3800. for a basically brand new bike as compared to a $9000. dollar cheap aluminum frame bike with all the plastic and black boxes, and security electronics and complexity is not as good as a simple basic steel framed bike that you can fix yourself. You have to SELL the motorcycle by giving the buyer all the facts that you can.

The CB750 has lasted 33 years and the steel tube frames are still good. The nice thick aluminum engine castings are still good.
You can still get lots of good parts for them.
They are reliable. They have a reputation.
They also sold thousands of them without too many changes.
Many of the parts interchange between different years.

A lot of the modern bikes have many propietary parts that cannot be altered.
Just my opinion.

Thats really about right for the bike....
Maybe no one here will pony up with cash for it but im willing to bet that he will get that on ebay....even more in the spring....

There is NO reason at all that a well sorted USEABLE cb750 shouldnt bring that money.
Hell if that 350 could sell for $8k then when not $4 for this?

Rocan im actually suprised by you!
you live in hipster central and should know what people are actually spending on bikes.
I just watched someone thrilled to death to buy a POS CL350 for $2K!
Saying that you or i wouldnt spend that...well thats one thing. but it being worth X is different

Actually thats one of the nicer, sorted and useable bikes that I have seen up on the market in a while

By no means am i a honda guy but your bike is super kool looking and i love the wheels good luck man

Thanks for your comments guys...I decided to keep the bike ,I have a bunch of hours into it and its a great daily rider. Its one of those bikes that you just jump on and go for a tear!
I love it !Im building a Z1 Rickman racer next.

Amen, bike prices in Brooklyn are out of control. I'm hoping my winter projects are gonna fund my dream bike come summer....

BTW I think that's a reasonable price for someone who doesn't want a project; reliable, gone over, beautiful bike.
