You guessed it. Another build thread. I picked up a CL360 I actually paid for last year. The motor seems locked up, but I’ve got a spare, good engine. I’m still going to try to save this engine, regardless.
Two years seems to be my max life without a 360. Since it’s a CL, I figure I’ll put it in the dirt threads. The plan is a full restoration.

I couldn’t restore a bike if my life depended on it. This is going to be a full on fat tire bike. Think TW/BW. The crazier, the better. It doesn’t have to make sense, because that wouldn’t be as much fun.
If you want to blame someone for this direction, blame Ohio. @Hurco550 and his crazy ideas. Since I didn’t bring a dirt-able machine to our last Spring Thaw gtg, I ended up riding a friends TW200. It was a blast to ride, most of the time, but damn if they lack any power whatsoever. I was full throttle to keep it above 50mph on mountain highway inclines. Having built 360s to at least hit The Ton plus 10, I think I can build something to manage highways, forest roads, and trails in the mountains just fine.
Here is where we begin. Pretty raw and dirty:
