Hey guys, I have a 1982 CM450 and I need the swingarm, shocks and rear wheel. I was wondering if anybody knew if CB450 parts would fit on this bike?

Pretty sure nothing will fit (a least not as a direct bolt in)
Wheel should be a pretty simple swap though with some spacer juggling
You may be able to change top mount of shock if its screwed on? (late, 3 valve 450 uses clevis both ends)

Are you talking the old DOHC CB450 or the CB450's of the same generation as your CM? They two very different bikes. If it is the latter situation you are probably good to go since the parts overlap is considerable. See if the part numbers match up.

My bike is the 1982 CM450 and the parts bike im looking at is a 1979 CB400 (not 450). Looking on bikebandit.com the swingers LOOK the same, although the part number is slightly different. The part number is for the swingarm and bushings so that might have some effect.

Lots of parts have the same part number, like collars and bushings...
Chain sliders are different between bikes...
Oh... the mounting points for the chain guard are different, that would cause a different part number...
