Honda gas tank question

I have a CB200T tank that I'm using on my project.....I need to remove the trim strip tabs along the center of the tank and move the rear tank mount. Does anyone know how the factory attached them? I dont see the typical spot welds on any of the pieces....

I see spot welds, on the back mount at least. Most of the trim tabs are spot welded on every tank I have ever seen from Honda at that time.

It is probably due to the flash and the angle of the camera, but I easily pick out 3 spot welds.

Yup, spot welds...

Be real careful removing those. You're pretty much guaranteed to tear at least one small hole in the tank.

If you're going to do it, do it right and use the appropriate sized spot weld cutter. Saves a huge headache.

Are u gonna fill that recess,I dig that tank too,I got a 400 four super sport tank that realy has the same shape as those 200tanks but w/o the recess,otherwise ,looks the same!!
