honda throttle conversion????

my bike has the push pull throttle, and i cant find a decent set of used controls,

will a regular single line throttle cable work? any tips? i guess i could try it with some of the parts i have layin around but figured id ask, this is a project so its not like im gunna do it and go ride on the street just test it on frame..
