How did you first get your taste of motorcycling?

I started with my best friends honda 50 Mini trail, we rode it 2-up all over the place, for about 3-4 years from age 5-9 until we couldn't both fit on it then we took turns ripping around, I was not allowed motorized 2 wheels in my house so I ended up with a 4 wheeler for years but always wanted a bike, took me 10 years of not living at home to realize I could ride if I wanted to, took the MSF and got hooked again on bikes and went out the day I got my license and spent $650 on an 81 CM400T in September, put 6000 km by October when I had a plugged jet, blew a piston from running lean, found DTT and got all my new friends to help me rebuild and customize it...... still here today ;D

I started college in the fall of '85. My high school buddy and I both got Honda Spree's to commute across town to class. It was fun at first, whistling the theme to 'Chips' as we dodged sleepy Tucson drivers. By the end of that week though, we realized that you can only have so much glory on a Spree. A few weeks later I borrowed the centavos to pick up a V30 Magna... A year and a half later I had my GSXR-750.

Would say around 10 years old my uncle would ride a wheelie on a Kaw 175 thru a wall of fire at the fair ! From that point on all i wanted to do was ride a bike . First bike was around 11 or 12 it was a 5hp BS motor on a frame like they sold from JCwhitny ! My uncle after a drag race he's on the left with the guy who raced it in the middle. Talked to the guy after my uncle pasted away and he told me he still has that bike !

That's a pretty cool shot!! And that the bike still exists is even better!! There's a vintage fuel dragbike thread over on the JJ. You should post that photo and the story over there.

When I was 6, I got to ride around astride the tank of my (much older) cousins Triumph. After two years of begging, I got a Honda Mini-Trail 50 for my 8th birthday.

Back when I was 2 or 3, I got one of these:

Rode it untill I was too big to fit anymore, but no matter how much I begged I could not get my parents to give me a dirtbike, so when I turned 18 I just bought my own motorcycle and never turned back since.

I was like 8yo, riding a Three-Wheeler in a little figure 8 track in the Desert... Flipped that thing onto myself about 5 times, but I so small that I never got hurt... Rolled it back over and rode it until the gas ran out.
