gotcha...
I was wondering how they achieved that flat board look...
thanks...you've no idea how much that helps...
but...
I'm really going for a street tracker look...
so I have to make the seat pan accommodate that hump...
any examples you know of?
Yeah... That specimen of awesomeness up there would cost a small fortune to replicate.
As far as your seat goes, if you're building a real tracker inspired bike than the oh so popular (for the moment) "flat" or "brat" seat is the absolute wrong way to go. Not only that but (this is just my opinion) I feel like 99 times out of 100 they just look cheap and unfinished. If you're building a real deal machine that will perform as good as it looks you'd be better suited going with a proper tracker seat like:
ok...
here's the thing...I don't think I know what the hell "style" my idea is...
thing is...the 1980 Super Sport had this huge plastic headlamp...plastic side panels...plastic seat...plastic rear assembly...
what I'm interested in doing is a super sport in steel...if you know what I mean...
real chrome headlamp...lowered bars...not clip-ons...single speedo out of chrome...
stock tank but with a real leather and closed-cell neoprene seat...
and a rear section that mimics the ss tail-fin...but really only serves to hide the 8cell ballistic battery...
I want the electrics hidden in the handlebars and the seat pan...so that there is that 'open" look in the frame...
any examples?
