How low is too low?

Hey there.....

I'm in the process of my 1st build, a 72 CB350 Four, and have a question about ride height....Is there a point where you get it too low? I know that scraping the pegs or exhaust is bad..... what's a good "rule of thumb" on how she sits?

Thanks,
Corsair

Honda 350 was not a tall bike...standard height was ok, the Japanese who designed it were pretty smart.

When you start to lower the bike you lose cornering ability. I feel there's nothing wrong with scraping pegs...if you do it safely. I've ridden many bikes where I have scraped pegs...some of the bikes extremely tall.

If you lower the bike, you lose clearance in a lean, and can become problematic.

Thanks guys. All good points which I will use! I did notice that it seemed like she was sitting a little low in the back, checked it with an angle finder which indicated it was tail down about 5 degrees so I let the front forks down slide through the triple tree about an inch which leveled the bike.

Thanks again!
Robb
