How much you guys reckon this is worth?

They're not even available in the 'States.
From wjhat I understnd, that was built at the height of the India factory's roll of the dice builds. (Perhapos that explains the new head and such?) They get unbelievable gas milege, though. a disk brake on that is akin to polishing... well, lets say it overkill.
They were made to deliver the mail in barely post WWII English country roads. A time when there was no TV so people polished parts by candle light, and a total rebuild was done by morning.

If you want an everyday rider, offer $1000. If you want a place to set your reading lamp, offer $1500.

Enfields are def available in the states. Just gotta find a dealer. You can buy them new for around $6k. The designs really hasn't changes much. Last year they got rid of the kickstart. People were outraged so they put it back. lol. I wouldn't pay too much for it.

Yeah, there are 3 Royal Enfield dealers here in Utah alone, But isn't he in Hong Kong!? They're great bikes for the price. I wouldnt offer more than $1500 for it though.

Yea I am in Hong Kong, I'm not really looking at buying it... I was just curious. A friend of mine had one a while back I was just curious really :)

Speaking of curious;
We have a really hard time with Chinese bikes and scooters breaking down and getting parts.
I was just wondering if owners in China itself have the same problems- or are there actual dealers who stock parts?

I wouldn't really know... Hong Kong isn't really a part of China, we are a Special Administrative Region (SAR). Personally I don't have any experience with Chinese made bikes but sourcing parts isn't hard and you can do it for peanuts if you do it right. All I'd have to do is send a few emails and make a couple calls to the distributers just across the boarder and say I want a sample of such and such and "promise" them I'd make a huge order if the samples meet my standards (which none of them would ;) ) I'm done this to get myself a small stock of carbon fibre and looked into getting a 400 cc triple engine to slap into my XV250's frame but thought better of it...

in my experience, it's best to own at least 2 enfields so you always have one that's rideable
