P.S
FUCK OFF DOUCH BAG

REPLY:
so i guess you took total disregard to me actually having a full time job? or maybe even another job on top of that? because yes i do.... or maybe you didnt think, " hey this guy might be sick or may be having a family emergency",because stuff like that does happen you know, but no you didnt.
I would have been more than happy to help you. But now, you screwed yourself over, why? because you were completely rude, simply because i could not get to my computer fast enough to reply to something i had mentioned on the bikes thread which you were probably to lazy to look through.
Congrats on being a mature adult. youve succeeded amazingly.
Think im the douche bag? .... think again buddy.
hope you enjoy building your bike...

feel free to express your thoughts of this individual who obviously forgot how to use his manners.

Holy shit! What a douche! So a belly pan was stopping this guy from "finishing" his build? Im sure its purely for aesthetics and he's not is a rush to get the bike ready for race season.
Tim- can we ban?

Wow... Just wow...

James. C'mon man. Hurley is one of the most upstanding fellas we have here. And yes, he works three jobs. Had you just chilled out a bit I know he wouldve helped you in any way possible once he had the time.

I hope you see how what you did is really unnecessary and downright shitty. And than I hope you can man up ajd apologize. I generally don't agree with calling folks out publicly based on PMs (other than swivel) but this is just shitty man.

Here's to hoping you get over whatever grudge it is tou hold and become a part of one the best damned online (and offline) communities out there. Really man. Chill out.

Hurley, didn't you read the fine print when you signed up to DTT. You must be available 24/7 to answer any and all questions within 5 minutes or your membership may be revoked. I hate people that think its their right to have their questions answered immediately like that. I've gotten a few PM's from people over the years looking for help or info, and graciously took my time to help as best I could, only to never hear from them again. No thanks, no nothing. Never got a PM like you did though, sick.

Hurley is a long standing respected member of the forum.

Not everyone sits at a computer all day, or has the time to check one's PM's every day.

Next time, please read the entire build thread before sending a second PM. And really, was there any need to be aggressive?

A little patience and/or diligence would have paid dividends in this situation.

Sorry for the spelling. Fat thumbs, tiny buttons.

What a dumb-ass... But alas... Has this what this place has turned into?

I haven't seen a public flogging in a long time..
I say post up his handle/name and let the mob dispense its justice...

Re: How NOT to ask a longtime member for help. PLEASE READ THIS. yes JWOC200

And thanks for not posting his/her screen name.

il be posting up any more pms i get from him. stay tuned in fellas.
as for me i will stop replying to him.

I blame microwave ovens. That was the start of the whole "I need it now" mentality. Now most people are so used to "instant gratification", that they can't function outside their own little bubble.

I've seen this scenario played out in the forums as well. Somebody will post up looking for help... two hours later they'll "bump" the thread... at six hours they're asking "What?! Nobody knows the optimal air/fuel ratio for a '83 Honda Nighthawk450 with rejetted KZ400 carbs using pod filters and a custom 4 into 4 exhaust?!" At 36 hours, somebody comes in and replies with not only the correct info, but a very detailed tutorial on how to set them up.
Only it falls on deaf ears because the OP has stopped checking the thread infrustration, and either gave up or found the info on their own elsewhere.

Hurley, you handled it the best way possible (and probably better than I would have). Kudos to ya ;)

Thankfully, this is the rare exception, and not the norm.

See, I don't need to ban users - evolution is my banning mechanism. Gotta love Darwin.

Re: How NOT to ask a longtime member for help. PLEASE READ THIS.

Ok man (james) here is the thing if you are going to ask for help you should understand that while yes we all want to get our bikes done and yes they are important to us they fail in comparison to those little things in life such as family, work, homes, friends. Some of my best friends on this earth are members on here i can text them asking them about bike issues and as good as friends as we are sometimes I have to wait on a response. You know why cause they have lives and they get busy. SO CHILL MAN JUST CHILL MAKES LIFE EASIER TO GO THROUGH!!!
