Re: How-to guides, what do you want?

would be awesome to learn more about shaping aluminum

Re: How-to guides, what do you want?

Yeah metal shaping is the one thing I haven't ever dabbled in, I haven't a clue how to start.
But its totally understandable if you didn't want to do that since its your business, I don't know how i would feel about sharing all my techniques with the world.

Re: How-to guides, what do you want?

Just some pointers would be great, like which type of aluminum is easier to work with or to make gas tanks out of. A little info the use of an english wheel?? I plan on getting one this year and start messing around with aluminum shaping.
Im not asking for trade secrets but something to get me going

I'm trying to blog every day, and I figure it should be something useful to the community, I've figured out how to do some useful stuff, so I'd like to do some how to guides on things people here actually want to learn.

any suggestions?

I don't have access to a TIG welder, but I'd really like to learn how to weld aluminum. Maybe old school with a rod and propane?
